The Inputs for Capillary Calculations
Capillary name:
Any text you want to be associated with the Graphic and text outputs.
Horizontal FWHM (mm):
The X-ray source horizontal dimension.
Vertical FWHM (mm):
The X-ray source vertical dimension.
Source capillary-entry distance (mm):
The distance from X-ray source to capillary entrance.
Capillary maximum divergence (mrad):
The side to side maximum divergence of the X-ray beam after capillary
focusing; with the assumption of small incident X-ray divergence, this value
should not be larger than 4 times the capillary material's total reflection
angle. E.g.: the value should not be larger than 4 mrad for glass material used
up to 30KeV X-rays.
Focal distance beyond exit (mm):
The distance from the focal spot to capillary exit tip, the so called
"working distance".
Capillary length (mm):
The length of the capillary you want to use.
Capillary average slope errors (mrad):
It is the total optical errors, including roughness, figure inaccuracy and
straightness error. At CHESS, the typical number of total slope error is around
0.06 mrad to 0.14 mrad, and it is expected to be better in the future.
Calculation area (mm):
The radius within in which the capillary focusing profile will be
calculated.
Number of data points:
The number of calculated points from focal center to the above input radius.
Pinhole diameter (mm):
If this option is activated, the focal profile convoluted with a pinhole
will be calculated.
"Save Focal Profile", Save ID Profile":
These buttons will only be active when calculations are done; "Image Profile
Calculation" and "Capillary ID Profile Calculations" buttons will be
de-activated after changes are made to inputs.
